Four commercial ski resorts make up the Queenstown offerings for snow lovers. Choose from The Remarkables, Coronet Peak, (Cardrona, and Snow Farm for extra charge) with something for everyone including Olympic-sized super pipes, state-of-the-art chairlifts, cruising groomed runs, big mountain style, and spectacular views.

The Lanah Residence is the best address in Kelvin Heights Queenstown. Lanah Residence located in Number 8 Old Homestead Place sited in the prestigious Kawarau Village and
holds arguably one of the sunniest & best positions in this enviable location. Lanah Residence just above the waterfront, it feels like the Wakatipu lake is a mere arms-reach away. Imagine waking up every morning to these stunning views, enjoying long sun hours, perhaps strolling to the Wakatipu lakes edge for a fish, or up to the Hilton for a refreshment. water-taxi service available to take you into the Queenstown centre should you wish to explore further. In the summer you'll have easy access to the lake and boating as well as golfing in Kelvin Heights golf course or Jacks Point golf course, and in winter the ski fields “The Remarkables” ,”Coronet Peak” & “Cardrona” are nearby. Enjoy a day skiing at two close-by Ski Resorts. Ski passes are valid in both resort:

  • Coronet Peak - 25Km, an easy 30mn  drive. At Coronet Peak there is something for all levels, ages, and styles. Early birds can get the 'First Tracks' pass upgrade, night owls can ride through till after dark on 'Night Ski' pass upgrades and the ski school provides a wide choice of lessons and programs to suit kids right up to pros.
  • Remarkables - A 3km drive from Lanah Residence to the base and a shuttle will take you right at the door to the resort that lies behind our iconic Remarkables mountain range. Here you will find everything a world-class resort should offer: A new and perfectly planned beginners area is right by the modern base building, beyond is a variety of wide groomed trails, terrain parks, off-piste, and side-country to tempt any type of skier or snowboarder. 

Coronet peak & Remarkable Winter schedule 

  • Coronet Peak is open 19 June - 26 September
    • The Remarkables is open 26 June - 17 October
  • Night Ski at Coronet Peak, 4-9 pm on Wednesday, Friday, and some Saturday nights, 23 June - 27 August
  • All mountains are open 7 days a week, subject to conditions

(Optional and extra charge) Heliskiing in New Zealand is all about no compromises. It’s for adventurers who are seeking pure adrenaline and freedom in fresh powder. If you’re an intermediate or higher skier/boarder, the South Island’s heliski operators will take you to open bowls and steep chutes that will make your toes tingle with anticipation.
