Experience local hospitality. This afternoon continues on your island discover towards the ‘bottom end’ of Waiheke Island when we cannot avoid a ‘long lunch’ at a magnificent estate founded by a passionate Italian. A leisurely breakfast before departing for the interior of the island to visit an Olive Oil producer, who has won some impressive awards with their green, herbaceous, and peppery – perfect olive oil! Nearby is our next venue when we will introduce you to Helen who is passionate about sharing the knowledge of the ancient process of distillation using natural, seasonal botanicals using
handcrafted copper stills. Before lunch, it seems appropriate to have the Gin and Tonic
experience when you will be taught how to create a heavenly scented botanical gin to take home. For the afternoon w have arranged a scenic flight to view Waiheke’s landscape, which varies considerably across the island. This evening our professional driver will transport us to
a nearby vineyard established in 1992, now one of the oldest and most successful of the many vineyards on the island. A special menu has been designed by the chef to complement different wines from this estate, to be enjoyed while watching the sunset.

Waiheke is home to a lively community of artists that include painters, sculptors, jewellers, photographers, ceramicists, winemakers, olive oil producers, and many other professionals and many who have businesses following their passions and dreams.
