Day 2: Auckland – Coromandel
  • The Coromandel, on New Zealand's North Island, is known for its pristine beaches, native forests, and laid-back vibe.

  • Dig your natural hot pool metres from the Pacific Ocean at the world-famous Hot Water Beach. Great surf, cafes & art galleries add to this very Kiwi experience. Take an eco-glass boat experience to explore the stunning Coromandel coastline and the Te Whanganui-A-Hei marine reserve.

  • Enjoy a guided scenic glass bottom boat tour along the breathtaking volcanic coastline, which includes Cathedral Cove, sheer cliff faces, towering pinnacles, incredible rock formations, and sea caves.
Day 3: Coromandel  – Waitomao Caves
  • Just south of Auckland lies the Waikato region. Well-known for its underground wonders, black sand surf beaches and rolling green hills, the Waikato region offers many nature-based activities and attractions surrounding a vibrant city hub.

  • Waitomo Caves - Under the green hills of Waitomo lies a labyrinth of caves, sinkholes and underground rivers. The area's name comes from the Maori words wai (water) and tomo (hole). Explore a World of Glow Worms with our Private Cave Tours on our Family Farm!
Day 4: Waitomo - Hobbiton - Rotorua

Day 7: Ranagtikai Farm Stay (one of our favourite stays)
  • This is a little slice of nature heaven that you will find difficult to find anywhere else with such great people to share it with, and at the end of it, you will feel more relaxed and switched off than you have in a very long time.

  • Departing from Tarata, rafting through gentle rapids, crystal clear waters, vertical gorges and unbelievable scenery of the Rangitikei River. Visit a secret waterfall and stop for a Picnic lunch and swim. Float quietly through Middle Earth, scenes from the movie Lord of the Rings.

  • There is plenty for the whole family to enjoy. The family always seeks help collecting eggs and feeding the chickens, pigs, deer, goats, dogs and puppies, rabbits, possums, sheep, and turtles. Plus, they need any extras, especially in spring when we are bottle-feeding the orphan lambs.
Day 8: Rangatikai - Wellington
  • Situated at the southern end of the North Island and nestled between green hills and a sparkling harbour, Wellington, New Zealand, is a little city with a big heart.

  • The bright red Wellington Cable Car is a bit of a classic. Take a ride from the terminal in the heart of the Lambton Quay shopping district to the lookout for panoramic city views.

  • No trip to Wellington is complete without a visit to the incredible Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa. This innovative museum offers fabulous treasures and stories about this country, its unique natural environment, Māori culture, art, heritage, and fascinating history.
