Day 2 | Hobbiton & Waitomo

  • Explore the famous Waitomo Glowworm Caves, take a boat ride through the glowworm grotto, and marvel at thousands of magical glowworms.

Day 3 | Rotorua

Day 5 | Hawke's Bay

Day 6 | Martinborough & Wellington

Day 7 | Wellington

  • Ride the iconic Wellington Cable Car.
  • Discover waterfront precincts, laneways, cafés, and galleries. 
  • Or: Visit Te papa Museum, one of the world's first bicultural museums

Day 8 | Marlborough Sounds, Kaikōura & Christchurch

  • Cruise through the spectacular Marlborough Sounds on the Interislander ferry.
  • Travel through Marlborough, New Zealand's premier wine region.
  • Travel via the coastal town of Kaikōura, famous for its spectacular marine wildlife, particularly massive resident sperm whales.
  • On-road stop at a roadside caravan for a serving of super-fresh crayfish caught that morning and cooked on-site.
  • Continue to Christchurch and explore the revitalised Garden City.

Day 9 | TranzAlpine & Franz Josef Glacier

  • Travel aboard the world-famous TranzAlpine train, celebrated globally for its dramatic 223-kilometre, 5-hour journey across New Zealand's South Island.
  • Cross the Southern Alps through spectacular mountain scenery.
  • Visit the historic gold mining town of Hokitika, known today as the capital of Greenstone (Jade) and 
  • Continue to Franz Josef and Fox Glacier, two of the few glaciers in the world that flow into a lush, temperate rainforest.
  • Optional scenic helicopter flight and glacier landing. Offering an awe-inspiring transition from lush temperate rainforest directly into a dramatic alpine wonderland.

Day 10 | West Coast, Haast & Wānaka

  • Journey through the dramatic landscapes of the West Coast.
  • The West Coast of New Zealand's South Island is famous for its wild, untouched nature and coastal rainforest trails.
  • Stop at the Blue Pools, with its stunning, crystal-clear glacial water that glows a vibrant, electric blue. 
  • Sop at the stunning shores of Lake Wanaka and take a photo of the famous Wanaka tree.
  • Arrive in Queenstown, the adventure capital of the world, for a three-night stay.

Day 11 | Queenstown

  • Visit the historic gold-mining town of Arrowtown, lined with original miners' cottages and free of modern chain stores
  • Experience the famous Shotover Jet, zipping inside the narrow, dramatic canyons of Queenstown's Shotover River.

Day 12 | Fiordland National Park
