An Unforgettable South Island Experience with Aroha Travel
We had the best experience with Aroha Travel—truly the best we’ve ever encountered in terms of accommodation and personally tailored itineraries. Special mentions go to three highlights that stood out and left a lasting impression:
1) Fiordland Lodge and Lindis：
The exteriors and interiors are stunning, and the locations are superb. Lindis felt almost like a spaceship landing in a stark glacier valley, with a strong Mars-like vibe.
2) Azur in Queenstown：
Azur is a hidden gem tucked within the city. The private, independent suites offer exceptional privacy, and the design is spacious, comfortable, and exceptionally user-friendly. Soaking in the bathtub in front of the window, gazing out at the lake, mountains, and snow—an immense treat. It’s hard to say goodbye!
Our favorite spots on this trip were Doubtful Sound and Lake Tekapo.
Doubtful Sound overnight cruise: we saw many dolphins accompanying us and performing spins—so joyful and lively!
Lake Tekapo: the color of the waters is unbelievably beautiful.
Aroha Travel also thoughtfully recommended and guided us to locally acclaimed restaurants. Near Queenstown, Mora’s roasted lamb shoulder was superb.
Overall, this South Island trip was highly satisfying and successful, thanks to Veronika from Aroha Travel. Her assistance in planning the itinerary and recommending accommodations matched our tastes perfectly. She has excellent taste and extensive experience—truly a standout in the travel planning industry.
