Wow, where do I even start? We just got back from 12 absolutely magical days in New Zealand, and I'm still floating on cloud nine.
From the second we landed, Aroha Tours took care of literally everything – and I mean everything. No stress, no scrambling with maps, just pure adventure. They somehow knew exactly what we needed before we even knew ourselves.
The accommodations? Honestly breathtaking. Every single place felt handpicked with love. That boutique resort on Waiheke Island though – waking up to the beach right there, waves literally at our doorstep... I still can't believe that was real life. And the views from our rooms each night? I must have taken a hundred photos that don't even do it justice.
The helicopter landing on Mt Cook left me speechless (and maybe crying a little – happy tears!). And Milford Sound... I'd heard people rave about it, but nothing prepares you for actually being there. Every day brought something completely different – one day we're chasing waterfalls, the next we're diving deep into the local culture and stories.
Can we talk about the food for a second? Everything was so fresh and seasonal. The lamb – oh my goodness, the lamb! And that dinner at the winery... I can still taste it. I keep telling my friends about it and getting hungry all over again.
This trip was the perfect mix of excitement and chill – we came home feeling truly recharged instead of needing a vacation from our vacation, you know? My camera roll is bursting, but more than that, my heart is just... full.
