Depart Paihia on the Sea Shuttle boat for a relaxing cruise taking you on an informative tour of the Islands, stopping at Roberton Island along the way. Disembark on to an island beach to enjoy at your leisure and island activities such as walking tracks, swimming, snorkelling or just relaxing. After 2-3 hours on the island, you get picked up again on the Sea Shuttle for the transfer to a custom built Helicopter Barge in the heart of the Islands. Depart on a stunning 15-minute scenic helicopter flight to the Hole in the Rock and back over the islands before landing in Paihia.

Or: With its rich marine wildlife, clear blue water and secluded beaches, the area can be enjoyed by people of all ages. Enjoy the private use of a day charter sailing adventure you will never forget. Trips are generally 6 hours duration, but extra time can be arranged. Rotorua is known for bubbling mud pools, shooting geysers and natural hot springs, as well as showcasing our fascinating Maori culture. Sitting within the Pacific Rim of Fire, Rotorua is a geothermal wonderland. Get up close to spectacular geysers and colourful crater lakes, relax in a mud bath or enjoy a simple soak in a natural hot stream. The region has one of the world’s most active geothermal fields. The unforgettable smell of sulphur, clouds of steam and volcanic activity are a natural part of life in Rotorua.  

Visit Wai-O-Tapu New Zealand's most colourful geothermal attraction. An area in which the landscape has been sculpted by geothermal activity and where unique volcanic features can be viewed from well-defined tracks. Unique features include the world famous Champagne Pool naturally coloured springs, bubbling mud, steaming ground, expansive vistas, huge volcanic craters and sinter terrace formations.

The beautiful Lake Taupo is about the size of Singapore – more of an inland sea really. Lake Taupo was created nearly two thousand years ago by a volcanic eruption so big it darkened the skies in Europe and China.

Alternative: 45 kilometres long and covering 193 square kilometres, the crystal clear waters of Lake Wanaka are perfect for jetboaters, sailors and kayakers to explore. Nestled below towering mountains, Wanaka is the most tranquilly set of the South Island lakes. It is much more than a winter destination. Year round activities include fishing, hiking, canyoning, climbing and skydiving. Lake Wanaka is the source of New Zealand's largest river, the Clutha. Lake Hawea feeds into the Hawea River, which joins the Clutha at Albert Town. Ringed by pebbly beaches and with magnificent views to the surrounding peaks, both lakes offer a variety of adventures, especially during the long, hot months of summer.

Arrowtown is a living historic settlement with many stories to tell. Wander the tree-lined streets of restored cottages and explore gold mining sites. One of the most picturesque settlements in New Zealand, Arrowtown sits alongside the gold-bearing Arrow River. A special highlight is a Chinese settlement at the edge of the river. Built by Chinese miners from 1868, this area of restored shelters and buildings paints a picture of earlier times. In April and May Arrowtown ignites with colour as deciduous trees prepare for winter. 

Central Otago is New Zealand’s fastest growing wine region and also it's most scenic. The Gibbston Valley is the coolest and highest of the Central Otago regions with the majority of land gently sloping to the north. This northerly aspect greatly assists vineyards to grow grapes because of increased sunlight and with a reduced possibility of frost, although this still poses a significant threat. Today you will visit a number of vineyards and wineries in the area.  

The towering cliffs and rugged hillsides of the Kawarau Gorge take you through the heart of one of New Zealand’s most historic gold mining regions. 

Or: Glenorchy is nestled on the northern shores of Lake Wakatipu & is the gateway to hiking trails and Middle‑earth magic. This rustic town is a true outdoor enthusiast's paradise. Set against a background of native beech forest and towering mountain ranges, Glenorchy’s surrounds are nothing short of awe-inspiring. Glenorchy’s spectacular landscapes have become a prime location for film scouts, depicting many scenes from The Lord of the Rings trilogy as well as featuring in the Narnia movies. 

Onsen Hot Pools is located high on a cliffside overlooking the magnificent Shotover River canyon, providing views over the breathtaking alpine scenery and the perfect vantage point to watch the Shotover Jet jetboats on the river below. Onsen Hot Pools are hot and steamy on snowy days, warm and sheltered on rainy days, cool and shady on sunny days, and simply magical in the evenings!
