We are leaving Queenstown behind; we helicopter west towards the head of Lake Wakatipu. At the top of the lake, we fly past ice shelves and waterfalls and enjoy a mountain landing on snow. We then continue through Fiordland National Park to the remote West coast and experience a beach landing. You can soak up the fresh salt air beside the Tasman Sea with vast ocean views and generally warmer temperatures. Excellent opportunities for lots of photos too! Leaving the beach, we fly over the beautiful subtropical rainforest to Milford Sound, the 8th Natural Wonder of the World.
